Through its Alternative Education Program, College Bound Dorchester offers two intensive academic programs for youth between the ages of 11-24, the Alternative Middle School and the College Prep Program. Both programs are designed toensure that high-risk youth, who had previously been unable to complete their education due to delinquency and other adverse conditions, develop the skills to get back on track and fulfill their educational goals. During the 2011 fiscal year, 76.5% of Middle School students passed the English Language Arts test of the MCAS and 96% of College Prep students reported an improved sense of self.
